Armand de Brignac's unmistakable gold-plated bottle has its roots in the French fashion industry and it's reputation for opulence.

Originally conceived by the celebrated Andrew Courreges fashion house, the striking bottle is decorated at a single site in France's Cognac region and is fitted with four pewter labels that are hand-applied to the surface of the bottle.

Each paperless bottle is wrapped in a lush, embroidered velvet bag stitched with the bottle's signature insignia.

Armand de Brignac is then presented in a handsome black lacquered wooden case which is fitted with an engraved tin nameplate, lined in black velvet and embossed with the brand's royal golden crest.

The result is a package that is a pleasure to see, to hold, and to taste.

The world's most respected wine critics and sommeliers conducted a rigorous blind-tasting of more than 1,000 brands. The results were published in Fine Champagne Magazine, the only international publications devoted to Champagne and an authority on the industry.

Each Champagne was rated on a 100-point scale. The process was so strict that, if judges' scores were more than four points apart, the Champagne would be re-tested and re-assessed. When the results were weighed, Armand de Brignac ranked #1 among the world's best Champagnes.
