The Blanc de Blancs 2015 is notable for its very pale gold hue, delicately tinged with green tints and set off by a steady bead of fine bubbles. The first nose is expressive and powerful, offering up an array of fragrances blending lemon zest and pastry. Its creamy evolution creates a lovely, luscious character. After breathing, the wine exudes complex aromas of mocha and cocoa, followed by notes of confectionery and fresh butter combined with the scent of orange zest with a remarkable elegance. The palate reveals buttery notes with hints of patisserie. Hazelnut liqueur and toasted overtones then gradually come through to complete this aromatic profile, which is imbued with a lovely tangy freshness. This is a rich, luscious champagne combining power and finesse.
The wine is salmon-pink in colour with tints of orange, set off by fine bubbles. Its initial nose offers a good aromatic expression dominated by red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry, along with rose petals, all leading to a beautiful freshness. As it warms, notes of candied cherries and candy bring complexity to the ensemble. The palate is in balance with the nose - both of equal intensity and richness. The wine is fresh on entry to the palate with citrus notes of blood orange, then shows itself to be generous and enveloping as it reveals its red fruit aromas. With a perfectly balanced palate, it offers good length. This vintage's character is supported by power and vinosity.
Light yellow with greenish reflections. Bouquet is delicately fruity with reminiscence of apple, pear and citrus fruits, and floral hints. Rapid and persistent the palate is pleasantly lively, light with moderate alcohol content. It is the perfect sparkling wine for aperitifs and seafood starters.
