Reid + Reid Barrel Aged Gin combines two great aspects of the Wairarapa: native bush and Pinot Noir.

Not only is this gin truly reflective of the region it is produced in, but it challenges your preception of what gin can be.

Tasting Notes:

Red currants, juniper and savoury oak.

Light, peppery and floral spice ont he palate followed by a sweet red fruit finish.

The perfect Gin all year around.

About the distillery:

Reid + Reid is a craft distillery located in Martinborough, New Zealand and was founded by brothers Stew and Chris Reid.

Reid+Reid gin is uniquely Kiwi, in that it is produced with three native New Zealand botanicals:

  • Kawakawa
or Macropiper Exelsum are bright, green heart-shaped leaves of a distinctive presence in the New Zealand bush - known as the pepper tree (but not to be confused with horopito) and has a minty fresh peppery taste
  • Manuka
or Pseudowintera colorata, is an evergreen shrub or small tree commonly called pepper wood because its leaves have a hot taste. It is also known as the New Zealand pepper tree, winter's bark or red horopito. The Horopito has a very chilli HOT like cayenne taste when the leaves are chewed
  • Horopito
or Leptospermum scoparium is a small tree or shrub native to Australia and New Zealand

Along with classic gin botanicals

  • juniper
  • coriander seeds
  • fresh orange zest
  • orris root
  • angelica root
  • liquorice root
  • cassia
  • nutmeg
  • fennel
  • cardamom
