Deep ruby red in colour, Agricola Punica Montessu IGT has aromas of intense fruit and a linguering liquorish finish.
The palate has an elegant wine with a full mouth.
The must is fermented with the skins at a temperature of between 25 and 30°C and periodically pumped over.
Malolactic fermentation creates roundness to the wine, which is then aged in used French oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
Medium texture calcareous, clay and sandy soil.
Hot and dry in summer, temperate in winter.
In a normal year the grapes are harvested between the second half of September and the middle of October.
