Friends of Punch was born following the loss of the 2009 vintage fruit at Lance's Vineyard, St Andrews during the
Victorian Bushfires.

It has been produced with help from other vineyards who generously lent their support by asking, how can we help?

The answer was simple - sell them some grapes!

And they did.

In each case they shared with significant portions of their scant, wonderful crops and this was made as a sincere thank you.

Vineyard / Area:

Rising Vineyard, Yarra Valley

Vinification:

Juice whole bunch pressed, natural yeast fermentation.

Bottled under crown seal via gravity at 22 g/L R/S. Primary fermentation then finished in bottle, generating CO2 pressure

Matured on lees in bottle for 16 months. Disgorged July 2016, with zero dosage and very small SO2 addition to prevent oxidation.
