Long before the now fashionable dry style came in to trend they were producing this wine which has become a benchmark for many wineries of superb quality affordable cool climate Rose.

The blend for the Dominique Portet Rosé 2019 comprises 60% Shiraz, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet.

The fruit was picked by hand before gently crushing and pressing it before being processed through a state of the art heat exchanger which chills the grapes right down prior to pressing. This gives a wine that is paler in colour but has greater fragrance and poise.

The wine was then fermented in stainless steel tanks for essential freshness and to accentuate its attractive aromas and the lees stirred regularly to give the wine a soft texture and creamy complexity.
