Triennes Rosé IGP Méditerranée (2024)

375mL / Provence / France

Sub-Category: Rose Wine

The Triennes Rosé IGP Méditerranée 2024 is a pale, dry Provence rosé built on Cinsault with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot, made at an organically farmed estate in the hills east of Aix-en-Provence. Cool nights through the 2024 season held the acidity firm, and the wine is noticeably crisp and fine-boned as a result.

Colour is pale salmon pink. Strawberry and watermelon lead the aroma, with pink grapefruit zest and a lift of white blossom behind them. The palate follows the nose closely — small red berries, a squeeze of citrus, and a faint savoury, fennel-like edge that keeps the fruit from turning sweet.

Dry, medium-bodied and neatly built, the Provence rosé carries its freshness right through the middle without going thin. Texture is gently chalky, acidity runs clean and steady, and the finish is dry and persistent with a hint of grapefruit pith. Nothing showy about it; the appeal is precision.

Serve well chilled, around 8 to 10°C, and give it a decent glass rather than a flute. This 375mL bottle suits a solo lunch or a two-glass aperitif — good with oysters, grilled prawns, salted almonds, a niçoise salad or barbecued snapper with lemon. Drink it now through 2026, while the aromatics are at their brightest.
