Mazi Grenache Rosé (2026)

750mL / McLaren Vale / Australia

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Rose Wine

Mazi's Grenache Rosé 2026 comes from old McLaren Vale Grenache vines, picked and pressed specifically for rosé rather than drawn off a red ferment, giving a wine with more delicacy than the Mataro-based blend in the same range. Pale pink in the glass, it is the lighter, more floral of Mazi's two McLaren Vale rosés, and the more immediate of the pair.

Expect strawberry, red currant and watermelon on the nose, with a light musk and rose-petal perfume typical of Grenache handled gently, and a faint citrus lift underneath. The palate is soft and juicy through the middle, red fruit driven, without heaviness, carrying that same delicate perfume through to the finish.

Dry and fine, with bright acid keeping it lively and a finish that is clean rather than long, this is built for immediate refreshment rather than contemplation, with just enough texture to feel like more than simple fruit juice.

Serve it well chilled with a seafood platter, a simple tomato salad, marinated feta or on its own on a warm afternoon; its lightness makes it easy to keep pouring.

This is a wine for now — drink it over the coming twelve months while its perfume and freshness are at their peak.
