Nevis Bluff Rose (2016)
750mL / Central Otago / New Zealand
WINEMAKING:
The fruit for this wine was 100% destemmed and not crushed to retain the lifted fruit characters. It was left on skins for 5 days at around 6-10 degrees Celsius. The juice was then gently pressed to a tank. A vibrant aromatic yeast was added and the wine slowly fermented and halted with approximately 2-3 grams residual sugar which was left in the wine for balance.
VITICULTURE:
Taking two of our favourite Pinot Noir clones in the vineyard the fruit for this wine was handpicked and selected.
TASTING NOTES:
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this Rosé has red lifted fruit aromatics with spice and floral undertones followed by a supple and elegant mouthfeel showing verve, freshness and energy.
