Château Doisy Daëne Cru Classé En 1855 Barsac Sauternes 2016 is a classic Sauternes with a golden color and aromas of honey, apricot, and orange peel. The nose is complex and delicate, with a touch of vanilla and spices. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of dried fruits, honey, and a hint of nuttiness. The sweetness is perfectly balanced by the acidity, giving the wine a long and fresh finish.

This wine is made from a blend of 80% Semillon, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle. The grapes are hand-picked and sorted before undergoing a slow fermentation in oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 18 to 20 months in barrels, with 50% of the barrels being new.

Château Doisy Daëne is one of the top Sauternes producers, with a long history dating back to the 17th century. The estate is located in Barsac, in the heart of the Sauternes appellation, and has been owned by the Dubourdieu family since 1924. The terroir is made up of gravelly soil, which is ideal for producing high-quality sweet wines.
