Our newest import, we're incredibly excited to show one of the greatest rosés we've had the fortune of tasting.
Domaine Alône is the culmination of a deeply personal vision by Christian Ott and Pascale Jourdan, who founded the estate to champion wines that emerge from harmony with nature rather than confined appellations. Christian, drawing on over 26 years’ experience at his family estate, Domaine Ott, shapes the viticulture and cellar work with a devotion to precision, low intervention and ecological balance. Pascale brings an equally strong sense of heritage and care—the great-granddaughter of a cork-maker, deeply rooted in the region’s traditions.
At Alône, their winemaking philosophy is softly insistent: fermentations with indigenous yeasts, ageing in stainless steel, ceramic and porcelain, minimal added inputs, and homage to lunar cycles to guide vineyard work. Every plot is tended and harvested by hand, each parcel vinified separately, so the wines speak of micro-terroirs rather than industrial scale uniformity.
In the 2022 Domaine Alône Rosé, one senses their hands in the wine: refined aromatics, structural depth and a purity of fruit that owes as much to their restraint as to the sandy, well-drained soils and significant diurnal temperature swings of their high-altitude vineyard (420–470 m) in the Var.
