Friday Tasting: Salty Summer Whites

Join us this week for a refreshing journey through Italy’s coastal whites. We’ll be pouring the Scala Bianco, a vibrant Calabrian white made from native grapes grown just inland from the Ionian Sea. Expect crisp citrus, gentle herbs, and a clean, salty snap — a sunny, southern-Italian aperitivo style that overdelivers for the price.

Alongside it, taste the Umani Ronchi “Sassi” Pecorino, a beautifully textured white from the Marche. Pecorino’s hallmark acidity meets notes of lemon zest, white peach, and a touch of alpine herb, finishing with that lovely chalky grip the grape is known for.

Both wines offer exceptional value and a true sense of place — southern warmth meets Adriatic finesse. A perfect, easygoing Friday tasting to welcome the weekend.
