Friday Tasting: Papa's Home! Xavier Goodridge strikes again

This Friday we're opening bottles from one of Australian cool-climate wine's most exciting young voices. Xavier Goodridge's Pa Pa range is the accessible, exuberant side of his Xavier Wine label — wines built for pure enjoyment, without sacrificing character or provenance.

The 2025 Pa Pa Pinot Noir draws fruit from Mount Gambier and Heywood in South West Victoria, the same cross-border corridor that has defined this wine since it became Goodridge's original flagship. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in a mix of old oak and tank, it's a light-bodied, florally lifted Pinot — think cherry blossom, cranberry, and rose petal, with a savoury, moreish finish. Chill it slightly and drink it freely.

The 2025 Pa Pa Pinot Gris comes from the limestone-rich soils of Mount Gambier on the Limestone Coast. Direct-pressed for freshness and left on lees for texture, it's an expressive, aromatic white — orchard fruits, pear, honeyed blossom and a gentle ginger spice on the finish. It's the kind of Pinot Gris that converts people to the variety.

Goodridge honed his craft at Bress in Harcourt before building Xavier Wine into one of Gippsland and South West Victoria's most talked-about small producers. The Pa Pa range reflects his commitment to working with exceptional growers across Victoria's coolest corners.

Join us in-store this Friday, 5–7pm. Free to attend, no bookings required.
