Travel just south of the historic township of Macclesfield in the Adelaide Hills and you'll discover Longview Vineyard. 

Once a dairy farm, Longview has been meticulously restored and developed into one of the premium wine tourism destinations in the Adelaide Hills and South Australia. The name Longview aptly describes this vineyard with its far reaching views to the Coorong and Lake Alexandrina, and the panoramic vistas over the property itself and the surrounding countryside. 

The award winning Longview vineyard is now operated by a well-known South Australian family with a 30 year history in the food, wine and hospitality industry. The vineyard, managed by brothers Mark and Peter, will continue to develop the Longview brand and increase production of its estate range wines. 

Tasting Notes

2012 was a vintage with very low yields due to seasonal stresses on the fruit; the season in general was cool and moist. This resulted in richer quality fruit and in turn resulted in intense flavour and acid balance.

The wine has a golden straw colour; the aroma has slight notes of golden delicious apple and molasses. This comes together with an underlying bouquet of orange blossom.

A refreshing palate of peach, ripe citrus and dried apricots is followed by a wonderfully clean finish that will compliment most desserts and especially cheese.
