A great wine to drink young for its primary fruit and will gain in complexity with cellaring, due to the high sugar content for up to 5 years.

Season

Geographe has one of the most consistent climates in the South West of WA. A cooler moderate summer allowed slow ripening conditions for white wines while retaining high natural acidity. Flavour development was good with natural acid balance. The season finished slightly cooler, resulting in elegant white wines.

Our thoughts on the wine

The Viognier grape aromatics of dried apricots and Turkish Delight are concentrated in this superb late harvest wine made by allowing the grapes to hang until the sugar levels and flavours become intensely
concentrated. The ferment is stopped before it reaches dryness to produce an unctuous dessert style wine, without added fortifying alcohol.
