All of Mahana's Pinot Noir is drawn from their organic and dry grown Moutere vineyard.

Here, the clay and gravel soils and the climate make for a powerful terroir, and the bunches for Glover's top tier bottling come from vineyard's finest parcels (from vines close to where Glover sources his Mammoth fruit).

In short, the Pinot here comes from the most powerful terroir in the Mahana vineyard.

The fruit was sorted before an ambient cold soak of 6 days and naturally fermented with 50% whole bunches, "to elevate the complexity of palate, tannin and fragrance".

Raised in French oak (25% new) for 18 months and bottled, unfined and unfiltered, by gravity.

It's a powerful, pure, dark fruited, full bodied and age-worthy Pinot of a quality that is extremely rare outside of Burgundy.

Seriously impressive.
