Château Picoron Bordeaux (2015)

750mL / Bordeaux / France

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

Tasting Notes:

Purple colour with a hint of ruby. Powerful and complex nose, spices, truffles and undergrowth.

Age revealing rich aromas of aniseed, Madagascan cocoa bean, vanilla - though maintaining a freshness of lightly stewed fruit.

A full, fleshy attack on the palate, followed by rich and creamy tannins.

Read to drink - though can develop to maturity if cellared 15+ years.

Vintage Notes:

The 2015 vintage enoyed a warm, dry Summer, providing excellent ripening conditions for grapes, and a dry hot autumn - perfect for harvest - this vintage will go down in Bordeaux as one of the best vintages in recent years.

Château Picoron maximised it's vintage this year, delivering an incredibly complex wine which will cellar for years - vinified from Château Picoron Bordeaux's best south facing plot, and barrel aged in French Oak.

Château Picoron Bordeaux was aged for minimum 3 years in bottle.
