Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo DOCG Colonnello 2018 is a red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, specifically from the Bussia Soprana vineyard in the commune of Monforte d'Alba. It is made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes and aged in French oak barrels for about 28 months, followed by a further year of bottle aging before release.

In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby red color. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of dark fruit, such as blackberry and black cherry, along with hints of spice, licorice, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and rich, with firm tannins and a long finish.

This wine is a perfect accompaniment to red meat dishes, particularly those with rich sauces. It can also be enjoyed with aged cheeses.
