Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo DOCG Romirasco from the vintage 2016 is a high-end red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Romirasco vineyard, located in the Bussia subzone of the Barolo DOCG in Piedmont, Italy. This wine is aged for 32 months in large Slavonian oak barrels before bottling and has the potential to age for many years.

The wine is deep ruby red in color and has a complex bouquet with aromas of black cherries, roses, leather, licorice, and a hint of tar. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm tannins and a long finish. This wine is well-structured and requires some cellaring before drinking, ideally decanted for a few hours before serving. It pairs well with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
