Rocche Costamagna Barolo DOCG (2018)
750mL / Piedmont / Italy
Rocche Costamagna Barolo DOCG 2018 is a classic example of a Barolo wine from the Piedmont region in Italy. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, this wine is aged for 24 months in large oak barrels before being bottled and aged for an additional 12 months.
On the nose, this Barolo offers a complex bouquet of red fruits, floral notes, and spices, with hints of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish. Flavors of ripe cherries, plums, and blackberries are complemented by notes of leather, licorice, and coffee.
This wine can be enjoyed now, but will also age well for several years. It pairs well with rich meat dishes, such as roasted beef, lamb, or game.
