Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

Guigal Saint-Joseph Rouge 2019 is a full-bodied, complex and elegant wine made from 100% Syrah grapes sourced from various vineyards in the Saint-Joseph appellation of the Northern Rhône Valley, France. The wine has a deep ruby color and a complex nose of dark fruit, black pepper, and hints of smoke and leather. On the palate, it offers flavors of blackberry, plum, and dark cherry, with subtle notes of spices and herbs. The tannins are firm and well-structured, providing a long and persistent finish.

The 2019 vintage was marked by hot and dry weather, resulting in wines with high concentration and powerful tannins. The grapes were carefully selected and hand-harvested before undergoing traditional vinification with long maceration and aging in oak barrels for 12-18 months. The wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for 10-15 years to develop further complexity.

Guigal is a well-respected winery founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in the Northern Rhône Valley. It is now run by the third generation of the family and is known for producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines that reflect the unique character of the region.
