Allegiance Wines The Matron Tumbarumba 2021 Chardonnay is finely textured, elegant and stylish with attractive citrus flavours. The subtle French oak balances the fine line of naturalacidity that flowsthrough the palate.

Quintessential cool climate Chardonnay from the Snowy Mountains.

Winemaking Notes:

Harvested during the cool of the night and sent straight to the winery.

Gently crushed and destemmed before being sent straight tobag press for gentle pressing.

Inoculated yeast, fermented cool topromote freshness and zip, over a 14 day period with a moderateamount of juice solids prior to ferment to build body & frame.

Mild battonage on lees for the 4 months, fermented & matured on lightlytoasted 15% new French oak for 7 months deliveringcomplexity,volume & texture on the palate.

Sulphites only (Vegan Friendly).

About the Vineyard:

Located in the Snowy Mountains of NSW, it is the coolest viticultural region on mainland Australia - this parcel comes from a single vineyard site at approximately 530m above sea level in the cool climate region of Tumbarumba.

The soil is decomposed granite over clay with north/south row orientation.

The trellis system is VSP spur pruned.
