Domaine Albert Mann Schlossberg Riesling (2020)

750mL / Alsace / France

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: White Wine

Bright straw-green. Lime, grapefruit and bergamot aromas are complicated by a hint of diesel fuel.

Enters fruity and vibrant, then more stern and almost tight in the middle, with slightly austere flavors of fresh citrus and herbs on the medium-long, zingy finish.

Uncomplicated Riesling that tastes dry and that will match well with a multitude of foods.

The grapes for this wine were harvested from three different parcels of wines, one plot on October 7, another on October 19 and yet another on October 27, in areas near the towns of Wettolsheim and Kintzheim (mostly granitic and clay-calcareous soils).

Technical Details:

12.5% alcohol
6 g/L residual sugar
8.1 g/L total acidity

About the domaine:

Domaine Albert Mann sits firmly in the top rank of Alsatian wine producers.

The quality of wines from here is always incredibly consistent, but at the same time has been on a constant upward curve; a fact that must be in part related to the estate's conversion to biodynamic viticulture.

Brothers Jacky and Maurice Barthelme consistently produce wines of richness, concentration and intensity, while never losing sight of terroir.
