Tegernseerhof Ried Steinertal Riesling Smaragd 2024 is a single-vineyard white wine from the Steinertal, one of the most highly regarded Riesling sites in Austria's Wachau. It shows the precision and intensity the site is known for, in a youthful, still-unfolding form.

The nose is intensely mineral, with lime, white peach and a flinty, stony character that marks Steinertal fruit apart from other sites in the valley, plus a faint smoky, saline edge that threads through the fruit. The palate is tightly wound and vivid, with citrus and orchard fruit driven by real energy and a distinct sense of place.

Acidity is bright and precise, and the finish is long, saline and mineral, with the fruit almost secondary to the site's stony signature.
