Blackberry and blackcurrant lead, with dried herb, a touch of cedar spice and a savoury earthiness underneath. There is a faint dark plum note that adds further depth to the fruit profile.

Tannins are firm but ripe, giving the palate good backbone, while the finish is long and savoury rather than purely fruit-driven, with the wine's cool-climate acidity keeping it food-ready rather than jammy. There is a persistent spiced note through the finish.
