Farina Farina Rosso (MV)

750mL / Valpolicella / Italy

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

The Farina Rosso is a multi-vintage red blend from Italy's Valpolicella zone, built primarily on Corvina and Rondinella and made as an easy, everyday drinking style. It sits at the entry point of Farina's range, designed for approachability over complexity, and it delivers on that promise glass after glass without fuss.

Red cherry, plum and a light dusting of spice lead the nose, with the palate offering soft, juicy fruit, a gentle savoury edge and a faint touch of dried herbs. A light, almost bramble-like note appears on the back palate. It is straightforward and immediately likeable.

Tannins are soft and the finish medium in length, closing with fresh acidity rather than any firm grip, keeping the whole wine easy and approachable.

This is a versatile red for pizza night, cured meats, or simple pasta with tomato sauce. It also suits a casual antipasto spread, a burger off the grill, or a simple bowl of pasta bolognese.

It is made to be enjoyed young and doesn't call for cellaring — drink it within the next year or so, while its fruit is fresh.
