Squitchy Lane Pinot Noir (2019)

750mL / Yarra Valley, VIC / Australia

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: Red wine

The opportunity to produce quality Pinot Noir tempted Mike Fitzpatrick into the wine industry. The Yarra Valley is known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir and this is a fabulous example from an outstanding vintage. The Estate Pinot Noir is made with hand-picked fruit with minimal input in the winery to allow the character of the vineyard to emerge.

Tasting Notes:

This is a beautiful, fuller style of Pinot Noir that has richness and depth of flavour that invites another taste. Released with a touch of bottle age the wine is medium-bodied with flavours of raspberry, dark cherry, blood plums and a hint of spice. The intensity of flavour carries through to the palate and presents a delightfully balanced wine that offers flavours of stewed fruit, plum, mushrooms and clove spice.
