Bremley Vineyard Pinot Noir (2025)

The Bremley Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025 is a fragrant, medium-bodied Tasmanian Pinot Noir built on brightness and detail rather than bulk. Grown in Tasmania's cool southern latitudes, it carries the red-fruited lift and firm natural acidity the island is known for, with a savoury edge that keeps it interesting past the first glass.

Aromatically, the wine leads with red cherry, cranberry and a touch of rhubarb, then opens into darker notes as it sits in the glass — forest floor, dried thyme and a whisper of cured meat. The palate follows the nose closely: sappy red fruit up front, a hint of blood orange through the middle, and a gentle earthiness underneath that stops it reading as simply pretty.

Structurally this is a wine of fine bones. Tannins are powdery and close-grained, the acidity is bright without being sharp, and the whole thing sits at a weight you could describe as light-to-medium. The finish is long and clean, drying slightly, with the fruit fading to spice and stone rather than sweetness.

Serve it at around 14 to 16 degrees, and give younger bottles half an hour in a decanter to unwind. Bremley Vineyard Pinot Noir 2025 works beautifully with duck breast, mushroom risotto, roast pork belly or a plate of charcuterie and washed-rind cheese. Drink from now through to roughly 2032, with the mid-point likely to be the sweet spot as the tannins soften and the savoury characters build.
