Sub-Category: White Wine

Chateau des Quarts Pouilly Fuissé Clos Quarts 2020 is a white wine produced in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy, France. The wine is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Clos des Quarts vineyard, which is owned by the two of the most renowned winemakers in Burgundy: Dominique Lafon and Olivier Merlin. The vineyard is situated in a valley that provides protection from the wind and allows for the grapes to ripen fully.

The wine is fermented in oak barrels with indigenous yeast and undergoes malolactic fermentation. It is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, of which 25% are new. The result is a wine with aromas of citrus, honey, and white flowers, and flavors of ripe peach, apricot, and a hint of minerality. The wine has a rich and creamy texture with a long finish. Chateau des Quarts Pouilly Fuissé Clos Quarts 2020 is an excellent example of a premium Chardonnay from Burgundy that is complex and well-balanced.
