Woodlands Wilyabrup Valley Chardonnay has always been a favourite in our store.

Tasting Notes:

The Woodlands Wilyabrup Valley Chardonnay is bright, pale gold in colour.

Shy at first, but opens up with aromatics of yellow stone fruits.

The palate delivers a broad powerful array of ripe orchard fruits, combined with elder flower and grilled cashews - weight is finely balanced with crisp, citrus acidity.

Winemaking:

Once harvested, and in the winery, the fruit was sorted and gently destemmed before being gently pressed.

A small portion of this wine was also pressed as whole bunches, to add finesse and complexity. Natural ferments proceeded without additions to must, and a small portion completed malolactic fermentation, though not promoted.
