Emmalene Emmalene Sauvignon Blanc (2025)

750mL / Adelaide Hills / Australia

Category: Wine
Sub-Category: White Wine

Grown in the Adelaide Hills, a region that keeps sauvignon blanc lively without turning it aggressive, the 2025 Emmalene Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and unmistakably varietal.

Passionfruit and gooseberry sit up front, with lime zest and a touch of freshly cut grass rounding out an aromatic nose. The palate is zesty and direct, carrying that same tropical-and-citrus mix through to a crisp finish. There's a faint mineral edge underneath the fruit too, adding a little grip and keeping the wine from feeling one-dimensional.

Acidity is high throughout, the body stays light, and the finish is clean and refreshing rather than lingering, a wine built for immediate appeal. There's nothing shy about it; the aromatics announce themselves the moment the glass is poured.

It's an easy match for goat's cheese, a green salad with vinaigrette, fresh seafood, or dishes with chilli and lime, where its zip has plenty to work against.

Drink it now, within the next year or so, while the aromatics are at their most vivid and the wine's energy hasn't had time to settle.
