The 2021/2022 growing season commenced with good spring rains, giving way to a temperate summer. Mild, cool conditions through to harvest yielded beautifully clean, vibrant, and juicy Sangiovese grapes. The wine is fresh on the nose with aromas of mandarin, cherry, rose-water and spice. The palate is crisp, with moreish midpalate texture and mouth-watering acidity. Great for seasonal drinking with antipasti!
Collector Rose Red City Sangiovese 2018 is a premium red wine from the Canberra District wine region of Australia. Made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, with a small percentage of Shiraz, this vintage has a beautiful rose-red color with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and a hint of floral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and well-balanced, with flavors of red fruit, herbs, and a touch of spice. The 2018 vintage in the Canberra District was marked by a dry and warm growing season, resulting in wines with excellent ripeness and structure.
Sourced from several high altitude plots on granite soils, La Bruja displays the sort of high toned, delicate, lifted aromas of liquorice, pomegranate and raspberry that have made the Comando G wines so sought after.
The nose shows hints of coffee, chocolate and pastry, whilst the palate is intensely sweet, bursting with fresh raisins, unctuous, touches of coffee with milk and cocoa and enough acidity to leave your palate ready for more.
