A very reticent nose showing a little flowery fruit and oak. Lovely weight on the palate, huge texture, rolling across the palate, carrying and honey and barley sugar character. Very big and rich style, with good acidity. A lovely Lafaurie.

A few months after bottling, Les Pelerins de Lafon-Rochet 2016 shows a very good balance with a nice tannic structure and a good freshness. Taste of good fresh fruit, cherry and blackcurrant and notes of cedar and white pepper. This wine is typical of the Saint Estephe appellation and will open up to become even more enjoyable in the years to come.
