John Duval is a renowned winemaker who spent 29 years as the chief winemaker for Penfolds Grange before starting his own label in 2003. The John Duval 'Annexus' Mataro 2016 is a premium red wine made from the Mataro grape, also known as Mourvèdre, which is typically grown in the Rhône Valley of France.

Also displaying hints of spice and licorice finishing with integrated, fine grippy tannins. While we intend for the wine to be approachable in its youth, it will benefit from at least five years of cellaring and should be in good drinking zone for at least fifteen years.
