Medium gold in in appearance, with a fine fresh bouquet of orange peel and flowers. On the palate it has an excellent balance, the sweetness being offset by fine acidity. Flavours of tropical fruits and oranges with a great length. A perfect example of a five puttonyos wine.
This wine shows typical black pepper and orange zest character, vibrant honey and grapefruit on the palate with a long, spicy finish.
Essencia is the world’s most concentrated essence of its ripest grapes, it is the ’liquid gold’ that very slowly oozes from a pile of aszú grapes raisined by botrytis and climatic conditions. Deep gold colour with a hint of amber and a very thick texture. Complex fruitiness on the nose, very rich and complex on the palate with hints of green tea and lots of figs and dates. Rich and complex in the mouth with a creamy structure. Taste of candied orange peel with dried red berries and a long-lasting, fresh end with very good acidity.

This wine is lively and elegant, highly perfumed on the nose with ripe peach and apricot on the palate balanced by silky acidity. The finish is long and incredibly complex.
Single vineyard wine from Tarrawarra in the lower Yarra. Spur pruned MV6, 777, D4V6 and G5V15 clones on sandy loam soils with north western aspect at 140m elevation.
Entirely destemmed. Cold soak and fermentation in open fermenters. Selected yeasts. Hand plunged. Large format oak. 30% new Damy Alliers French oak for 11 months on lees.
