Bright and deep ruby. A concentrated perfume of cassis, licorice and strawberry sorbet grows deeper with coastal scents of dried shells and crayfish bisque. Earthy notes of ironstone rock give way to dried rose petal and vanilla butter intrigue. A fresh and succulent entry with incredible length and firm driving, linear tannins. Fresh raspberry, wood spice, vanilla and peanut complexities linger on the finish. An intense, tight, lengthy and exciting wine.
Bright ruby with a purple tinge. Very fragrant brimming with red berries, dried Goji fruit and crisp, crusty blackberry pie. Savoury nuances of mulled wine spices, green peppercorn, dried blood orange peel and BBQ char, round out the enticing and seductive bouquet. Vibrant cherry, plum and raspberry fruit fill the palate effortlessly, with soft and pleasant tannins, lending textural support. Balanced acidity brings freshness and vibrancy, drawing out a fleshy length of flavour.
Golden straw with a green tinge. An enticing perfume, super clean, with the delicate turkish floss, mango ice cream, honeysuckle and dried ocean shells. It seems light and delicate, yet the acidity and sugar power are so beautifully intertwined, they feel refreshing and dance lightly on your tongue. Succulent, while refined, the floral length stimulates a desire for more.
A sophisticated, pure and expressive interpretation of this popular Margaret River blend with enticing minerality and savoury undertones. Pale straw-gold in colour. Immediately lifted, perfumed and floral with varietal purity. Fresh lime curd, passionfruit pulp, guava and honeydew melon with hints of cashew butter. Exotic savoury aromas of spring herbs, freshly picked dill, white Jasmine and waxy flowers begin to emerge with time in glass. The palate is soft and luscious upon entry, generous guava and grapefruit with a rounded, fleshy fruit profile. Structure is provided through a quenching preserved lemon acid-line, with gently puckering persistence rounding out an extremely moreish palate.
2020 was a stunning vintage that will define ‘rare and fine’ with low yields and fantastic quality. Bright golden straw in colour. Opens with nashi pear, lychee and dried forest leaves, while deep layers of Geraldton wax, chamomile, sea salt, sumac and crispy chicken skin waft through gently; an exotic aromatic experience. Fresh and comfortable, with a lovely, broad fruit entry that polishes up to a powdery, dry tannin finish. Medium-bodied with hints of orange zest and fresh, bitter-sweet Passion fruit pip make the palate refreshing, yet densely complete.
