More open, enticing and expressive at first approach. Laser-like in its precision. A wine of energy and focus with tropical notes and mouthwatering acidity. Crisp pear, green apple, chamomile and jicama. Saline and fresh, displaying its pure essence without malolactic fermentation and devoid of new oak. Speaks of the sites on our property that attain full ripeness, but never lose their electricity. Tense, electric and satisfying. Full of energy. Almost vibrating.

Even with cards held tight, it displays white peach, lemon zest, white flowers and loquats. Hints of white truffle, lavender and fresh herbed chevre. With air, new aromatics: fresh baked croissant, almond flour and kumquat. Pure, compact and driving; tense and full of kinetic energy. Showing the seemingly endless sunlight and perfect growing conditions of 2018. Lifted and framed by classic Hilt sea salt and electricity on the finish along with touch of structure that is reminiscent today of an Asian pear.

Aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit marmalade, blossoms and complex yeasty flavours complement the toasty oak in the wine. The palate is clean with a lovely texture and long finish.

This luminous pale yellow Chardonnay with its resplendent green reflexes offers a pleasant aroma of meadow flowers, typical for the variety, reminiscent of exotic fruits. It is slightly tangy, well structured as well as full bodied with a long-lasting finish.

Tonic Wines Reserve Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2020 is a premium Australian wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown in the Yarra Valley wine region. The wine has a pale yellow color with golden hues and a bright clarity. On the nose, there are aromas of citrus, ripe peach, and melon, with a hint of toasty oak and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, with flavors of ripe stone fruit, lemon curd, and hazelnut, complemented by a subtle minerality and a creamy texture. Pale straw with a green and golden tinge. Savoury, citrus and stone support the elegant, flinty note of the classic Heytesbury perfume. Delicate hints of coastal herb and green tea sit with a little soft cheese and candle wax. The pure, fine satin polish of this vintage is special, showing serious precision of al dente ripeness. A typically powerful and tightly held acid line holds a soft, full core, showing amazing restraint with incredible balance and a lightly pithy finish.
