On the Sicilian Island of Pantilleria, Aziende Vitivinicole Miceli produces this single variety grappa. Exhibiting seductive, caramelised aromas beneath its amber hue, with a smooth, mellow palate. Lingering, pleasant finish.
The Naimanya vineyard sits high in the tiny sub-region of Flaxman’s Valley on soils of sandy loam, gravel and quartz over clay. At 520m elevation it is amongst the highest Shiraz vineyards in South Australia. Fair winter rains and a cool summer gave us a healthy crop of excellent quality. Hand picked on the 7th April, 70% destemmed, 30% whole bunch, pressed to French oak (10% new, Saint Martin), matured for 20 months in barrel. 1940 bottles produced.
