The palate is piercing and strident - the acidity and the lush green fruits. A double-pronged attack. Mouth-coating fruit flavours of pear, apple and lemon. Keen acidity sweeps in at the first opportunity making this a white wine that is cutting and clear and long and strong.

The oak regime adds just a hint of creaminess, but a mere knife-point in terms of measurement and weight. The texture is welcoming and appealing, balanced in a cautionary way by the stoic acidity.

There’s more mineral and rain water in the finish, where there’s a textural element that provides some breadth, giving dimension to the otherwise acid linearity.
