This outstanding red wine is a quite recent expression of Argiano’s viticultural potential in relation to red wines made with Sangiovese. ‘Solengo’, which is Tuscan for “lone wild boar”, is the product of the combination between Tuscan soil and French grape-varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. It is the fruit of the “creation” of the internationally acclaimed former oenologist GiacomoTachis, which now continues with the work of Argiano’s team.

A highly-regarded red wine from the Tuscany region of Italy. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, it is aged for a minimum of 4 years, with at least 2 years in oak barrels. The wine boasts complex aromas and flavors of dark fruit, earth, and spice, with a firm tannic structure and long finish.

It is made from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah grapes, with each grape variety contributing its own unique characteristics. This wine has a deep ruby color, with aromas of dark fruit, vanilla, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a balanced acidity, firm tannins, and a long, persistent finish. Versatile in food pairings. 

The wine is bright ruby, with an almost saline aroma accompanied by strong notes of cherry, with a subtle spiciness. Energetic on the palate with good acidity and balanced, integrated tannins.

Argiano’s Brunello di Montalcino is distinguished by its elegance and its deep ruby red colour. It presents a good concentration on the mid-palate and a persistent aftertaste, with a rounded and voluptuous body, and interesting, silky tannins. It unites potency and elegance and looks like having a promising future. With its tempting perfumes of red berries and its clean freshness, the complexity of this wine presents an excellent balance. To fully appreciate its qualities, decant the wine at least one hour before serving.
