The Farr Rising chardonnay sits next to the Farr Rising pinot noir vineyard. Unlike the black soil of the latter, however, the chardonnays' soil has a large proportion of grey loam. This vineyard is more protected than other sites because of its undulation, but fertility and growing levels remain very low. The clones used for the chardonnay are a mixture of Dijon clones and Penfolds 58, all planted in 2001.

A bright nose of savoury, earthy elements and lifted sour cherry notes leads to a palate made firm by ripe tannins and driving acidity.

Deep yellow. Aromas of white flower, pear, and a hint of pineapple. Medium bodied with a silky texture on the palate, lots of pear, peach and lemony notes.

A very rich aroma teasing the palate which is well balanced, zesty and with a pleasant finish of white fruit as only an Italian Pinot Grigio can do!

An outstanding olfactory complexity of mature exotic fruit and yellow citrus fruits. On the palate it has good freshness with a long finish of sweet almond and vanilla. Thanks to its structure this wine has a good aging potential.

A pale yellow colour, its bouquet bursting with notes of flowers (hawthorn and jasmine) and yellow fresh fruits (drupe, peach and apricots). On the palate, the wine is medium bodied and flavoursome, full of fruit, with clear mineral notes.

Subtle stone fruit aromas fill the nose, while the depth in fruit flavours of pears and citrus are complemented by subtle oak notes to provide a refined and balanced palate with a lingering finish.

Grown from the Alsatian GM-198 clone, the palate is bursting with juicy citrus before mineral acidity floods the finish.

Torrontés is found in the world’s highest vineyards, resting at 5,000 to 6,000 feet above sea level in Argentina. The high altitude growing conditions translate beautifully to bright floral aromas and delightfully crisp acidity in our Alamos Torrontés wine.

Soft, floral and fruity, this is a rounded wine with a gentle texture, yellow fruits and light acidity. A good touch of spice to fill the wine out right at the end.
