Lots of ripe red fruits and spices character on the nose. Juicy, fleshy, lovely notes of earth and sweet spices backing up the fruit, tannins and acidity. Long finish.

This is a complex wine, with fruity and mineral notes, a taut, well-integrated texture, and a harmonious aromatic range. Croix Canon now occupies a leading position within the appellation.

This is my favorite vintage of Cantemerle since 1989. This is not a wine that needs a lot of cellaring time. Give it another 2-3 years and drink it up before it hits 20, to enjoy its delicate charms.

Château Cheval Blanc Grand Cru Classe? ‘A’ 2009 has an intense crimson colour and a subtle bouquet that is both fruity and flora.

It also displays notes of fresh fig, blackberry, and red fruit such as raspberry, as well as hints of violet found in great vintages.

The wine is delightful on the palate thanks to its power, richness, body, and concentration.
