A lovely, concentrated wine, with aromas of mulberry, sarsaparilla and vanilla entwined with sage and violet notes. Intense flavours of elderberries, plum, sage and five spice. The palate is medium bodied with a flow of purple fruit and fine sandy tannins. A wine of great complexity built to develop through the ages.
Stone, mineral and white floral aromas, moving into white peach and citrus notes with intensified florals, citrus juice flavours and a long, concentrated finish.
Deep crimson. Classical blackberry, praline, ginger, sage aromas with mocha oak notes. Luxurious blackberry pastille, blackcurrant, black cherry fruits, superb fine chocolatey/velvet tannins and beautifully balanced mocha/vanilla/smoky oak notes.
Up front, this wine has all the hallmarks of the McRae Wood profile, then a wave of elegance, florals and spice, and a classic brooding finish.
