The wine has a beautiful ruby color with aromas of red fruit, roses, and spices. On the palate, it is elegant and complex, with flavors of cherries, raspberries, and a hint of vanilla. The tannins are firm yet refined, and the finish is long and lingering. This is a wine that pairs well with hearty dishes like roasted meats or pasta with meat sauce.
   

Rich plum and berry-fruit is lifted by fragrant spice, violet and liquorice aromas.

The palate is medium weight and supple with a long finish.

An absolute blockbuster. Intense blackberry fruit strong but soft, a velvet glove over and iron fist. Dark leather and dry high cocoa tannins and an almost chocolate truffled pallet, supported by creamy blueberry cheesecake and fresh uplifting powerful pure blackberry. The Knights-errant is too long in the mouth to describe except to say it is hauntingly long in the echoes of flavour.

One of our favourite reds - and each year is different but consistently awesome. Boss man often refers to this wine as an anti-social wine because often when opened at a dinner party the talking stops and thoughts are to the amazement of the wine - then the talk changes to discussions of the wine!

The O’Riada is made from grapes picked from our estate vineyard and other carefully selected sites in Murrumbateman and Hall. It’s a quintessential Canberra Shiraz. Look for elegant floral aromas, red berries and plenty of spice
