Boekenhoutskloof

Chocolate Block Red Blend / 2020 / 750mL

2020 is a vintage which shows exceptional balance and texture with a youthful elegance. These hallmarks certainly favour significant ageing potential.

Boekenhoutskloof

Franschhoek Cabernet Sauvignon / 2015 / 750mL

The nose is complex and entices with its garrigue character and aromas of blackberry, blueberry and graphite. The palate is exceptionally elegant, yet precise with plummy fruit, redcurrant, very fine grained tannins and a certain nervosité on the mid-palate, suggesting significant ageing potential. The finish is delicate, yet offers length and finesse of fruit.

Boekenhoutskloof

Porcupine Ridge Syrah / 2020 / 750mL

The nose is enticing and complex, offering an abundance of dark plums, violets, cured meat and black olives. The dark berry fruit of the nose follows through onto the palate with notes of pepper and allspice. The wine is elegant yet juicy, with grippy tannins and ample acidity to create exceptional balance and structure. The violets of the nose linger on the finish with classic hints of white pepper.

Boekenhoutskloof

Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon / 2016 / 750mL

The nose is complex and alluring, offering redcurrant, black cherry and red plum aromas with whiffs of Herbes de Provence, Cape fynbos and clay dust. The red stone fruit of the nose follows through with flavours of youngberry, boysenberry and notes of lead pencil, pipe tobacco and tealeaf on a smooth palate. Fine-grained powdery tannins contribute to a certain nervosité on the mid-palate, juxtaposed against the opulence of fragrant fruit, firm acidity and smoky cedarwood undertones from integrated French oak. Vibrant berry fruit persists on a clean, focused finish.

Bowen Estate

Shiraz / 2021 / 750mL

Freshness of fruit is abundant on the palate filling your mouth with our classic Coonawarra palate weight which leaves you wanting more. This is an excellent example Coonawarra Shiraz - it is a medium bodied wine, abundant plummy fruit characters and balanced by fresh Shiraz spicy fruit. The wine spent 18 months in American oak barriques. The use of American oak enhances the mouth feel and supports the fine tannin structure adding length to the palate.

Bowen Estate

Cabernet Sauvignon / 2022 / 750mL

Aromatically a very pretty wine with cassis and raspberry characters intertwined. This paves the way for the elegant, medium bodied wine to shine. Our ageing of the wine in French oak barriques for 18 months harnessed the inherent fine tannin structure of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage is a wine of elegance and is immediately enjoyable now but will evolve with age.

Bream Creek

Pinot Noir / 2022 / 750mL

Tasmania has a justified reputation for producing world class Pinot Noir wines – and we like to think we have contributed to this reputation! Meticulous work in the vineyard to lower bunch yields as well as careful handling in the winery (including a variable portion of whole bunch use) result in a Pinot Noir that is on the bold side – or as some have said, a Pinot Noir for Shiraz drinkers!
