The Paddy Borthwick Paper Road 2018 Pinot Noir is medium-bodied and packed with flavour!
Dark fruits and spices in loads – Christmas cake, five spice, and blackberries are all there.
Dark ruby red, almost impenetrable, intense notes of little red fruits, blackberry and red cherry jam, together with fine spicy notes. Smooth, elegant tannins, full body, enveloping. Long finish.
The red wine Silenzi Rosso, Isola dei Nuraghi IGT, from the house of Pala, hails from Sardinia. The grapes are sourced from high espalier-trained vines that are 30 years old.
Its beautiful intense ruby color with purple reflections heralds an intense nose with notes of red fruit. In the mouth, it is well-balanced with good persistence.
It pairs well with primi piatti as well as grilled meat and moderately aged cheeses. It can be kept for up to 2 years and should be served at a temperature of 16°C to 18°C.
A superb drop of Pinot Noir for a great price.
Medium-bodied, the palate is brisk and racy with lively fruit flavours of savoury red berry fruits melded with fresh, dark herbs with some red floral detail.
Floral, elegant and expressive aromatics, high toned texture, harmonious and lively acidity.
Brilliant ruby to garnet red in colour. Among the aromatics we recognise rose hip, violet, iodate perfumes, ashes, tobacco, white peaches, red cherries, balsamic elements such as fresh mint to name some. On the palate it's full on energy and all about freshness and finesse. The acidity is sharp, the tannins have a beautiful tension yet they are harmonious in the structure.

In the Fiasco vineyard the Tortonian and Helvetian soils cross each other combining a great finesse and power. Classy and classic expression of Nebbiolo which requires time to develop all its complexity is Bric del Fiasc. The texture characterizes this Barolo: earthy imprint, density of fruit, vibrant and refined tannins. The acidity supports the important structure of this Barolo and lifts the nose which is complex, mineral, balsamic. Little red fruits and licorice and typical notes in Bric del Fiasc.
