This wine has a deep ruby color and offers aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, and a hint of spice. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with flavors of black fruit and a touch of oak. The tannins are firm and well-structured, with a long and lingering finish.

Uncomplicated red apple and light almond scents on the nose. The palate is balanced with fine acidity, with a lightly spiced finish.
Pale in colour and fresh on the nose, left bank austerity shines through at first, then the main body of the wine is much fleshier behind. Even with, some heat at the finish, but more spice. Good grip though, this has potential to be a grand vin de garde

The Domaine Jamet is managed by Jean-Paul Jamet and his wife Corinne. Jean Paul took over from his father in 1991. According him, the character of the wine comes from vines planted in 25 separate vineyards on the Cote Blonde and Cote Brune. Jamet is a beefy, animalistic, masculine, structured, peppery and powerful style of Côte-Rôtie that ages well and develops complexity with time.
